I currently work as the Principal of the Wildlife Tourism College of Maasai Mara. I oversee the day to day running of the academic programs of the College as well implementation of the policies and strategic direction of the College as envisioned in the College Plan.
In all, I have more than 20 years of experience of work in the Mara across areas of community development, species ecology, reserve management issues and sustainable tourism. I have done research on large browsing ungulates as well as in conservation planning and in setting up of sustainable tourism programs in the Maasai Mara ecosystem that include
responsible nature guiding.
I have 15 years of teaching experience concentration areas being wildlife based tourism and the social aspects of protected area use, conservation and management. My research interests include community based conservation, modeling visitor use of parks and protected areas and local community interactions.
I’m married with five children who all attend school in Narok. I am a member of Lemek conservancy within the Mara.
