The Wildlife Tourism College relocates, expands, and improves the Koiyaki Guide School, which opened in 2005 to offer local youth a chance to gain well-paying jobs in tourism.

It has since graduated close to 400 trained safari guides, over 60 of whom are women. In 2020, KGS received 200 applications to its program, the highest in its history. This signaled the urgent need for diversification in curriculum and job opportunities.

The WTC will continue to offer this 1-year certificate, but has enhanced the coursework to meet the evolving needs of safari operators in the area. This includes more language skills, interactive trainings on emotional intelligence, and safety.
